Managed by Hou Yi-wei, the founder of Taiwan Volcano Coffee at Datun, the Taiwan Volcano Coffee at Datun is the first coffee manor in Taipei City to receive the Green Conservation Label. Hou protects the land by adopting natural farming methods. Counseled by the Taipei City Government’s Department of Economic Development and the Taipei Farmers’ Association, the manor serves as a voice for urban agriculture. Hou was also selected as a benchmark young farmer in Taipei City and won the 2022 Northern Taiwan Specialty Coffee Evaluation.

Stay Here 99, situated at the foot of the Datun Mountain, is a 10-minute walk from the Fuxing High School. The farm grows mainly green bamboo shoots and strawberries without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, creating a leisurely environment filled with natural ecology.

Founded by Hsueh Lan-ying, a former bank employee, the Yuanji Farm is a food and agricultural education site that is a 15-minute walk from the Taipei Metro Fuxinggang Station. Through edutainment activities such as ecological tours, organic vegetable and fruit picking, DIY handicraft-making, and outdoor games, the farm promotes environmentally friendly practices. It accepts group reservations of 20 people or more, making it the perfect place for school field trips, company trips, and family group visits. Visitors to the farm can also enjoy its exclusive gourmet meals.

In 2018, the owners of the Wild Chicks Farm moved from their Taipei City apartment with 20 baby chickens to the land once farmed by their grandfather.
Today, the owners strive to become a benchmark for eco-friendly, small-scale urban farms rearing economically friendly animals, hoping to teach the public about its food and land.

Located roughly 2 kilometers away from the Taipei Metro Qilian Station, the Baxian Farm has a vast expanse of lush rice fields. Wang Hsuan-chih and his wife Cheng Yi-chen, following their ancestors’ footsteps, continue to cultivate and harvest the land they have inherited. Today, the farm is the largest rice field within the administrative district of Taipei City. Using the water from Yangmingshan for irrigation, employing the ancient method of utilizing the sun to dry grains, and adopting environmentally friendly planting methods (e.g., no fertilizers and pesticides), the rice produced here has a rich, sweet, and natural flavor.

The owner of the Owen’s Healthy Living Garden graduated from the R.O.C. Military Academy and has been working in the field of agriculture for over 5 years, focusing on vegetable farming and beekeeping.
As a father of four, the owner promotes environmental protection and makes enzyme-
based dishwashing/detergent liquids, mugwort & citronella soaps, and healthy sachima for sale. The owner also created the Facebook page “Happy Vegetable Garden (Labor = Health),” documenting his daily farm work and allowing the public to catch a glimpse of his farming life.
